Response to The Web is Dead

Doesn't make sense:
-Anderson says that we are abandoning the free, open web for a a sleeker service. This "service" often costs money, which some people are willing to do, but many are not. As long as there is a free alternative, there will always be those who are drawn to it. Most people want their "service" to work, but they still want it for free.
-Although we agree that there will be a shift towards more apps, there will never not be a browser. It just doesn't seem feasible considering many of us still use them everyday.

Makes sense:
-While the web is easy to use, it's obviously not as good (and good-looking) as apps can be. We agree that we are shifting towards a more app-friendly world because it "fits into our lives better."
-Anderson compares browsers to postcards & telegrams, which are no longer the standard form of communication, but we still use and need them. Eventually, most people will use apps for a variety of uses but will still need a browser for certain things.
