The Web is Dead

Amanda Robalin and Alicia Garza

We Agree With:
-As we get older, we have more money than we have time. As a result, we're willing to pay for iTunes and apps that will give us reliable, timely information.
-Less about searching, more about getting. We no longer have to go through a process to get to, say, Twitter each day. Simply clicking its specific app has us there in a matter of seconds.

We Disagree With:
-The Web isn't dead. Not everyone has access to an iPhone, iPad, or other similar device with apps and use of the Internet without a Browser. Its simply not taking over the globe, many people still use the Web frequently and with confidence.
-The use of apps is less about control, as mentioned in the article, and more about ease. We don't think that this view of "control" over everything is necessarily the reason for use of apps, but rather the more instantaneous nature of these new access routes to the Internet.
