The Web Is Dead

One of the points that we agree with in this article is the idea that Google took advantage of its influence in order to create a monopoly over the Internet. We also agree with Anderson's last statement about how what we do with the Internet is changing, but the Internet itself has remained virtually the same.
We disagree with Anderson's opening comments about our preference to use apps over an actual web browser, because we feel that while it may be easier to use apps to quickly check email or search things, it is difficult to actually use apps for productivity purposes. We also disagree that "users will resist the trend to the paid, closed and proprietary" because some people will always choose to pay a premium for quicker and more efficient access, regardless of technological advances.
